Most Oaklight garden rooms fall under permitted development rights and don’t require full planning permission, as long as they stay within certain size and height limits. We’ll advise you based on your garden and help with any planning applications if needed.
3. How much does a garden room cost?
Our garden rooms start from around £1,300 per square metre, fully installed. For example, a 5m x 3m room (15m²) is typically around £19,500, depending on your specification and options.
4. How long does the process take?
From initial consultation to completed installation, most projects take around 4–6 weeks. We’ll provide a clear timeline before starting and keep you updated at every stage.
5. What’s included as standard?
Every Oaklight garden room includes solid concrete foundations, multi-layer insulated walls, laminated flooring, heating, electrics, and a modern exterior finish. Optional extras like underfloor heating and smart home controls are available.
6. What aftercare and warranty do you provide?
We offer a comprehensive warranty (up to 10 years) covering structure, cladding, roofing, windows/doors, insulation, and electrics (when fitted by our team). You’ll also receive a maintenance guide and direct support for any questions or upgrades.
